What is Speech Therapy?

 Speech-language therapy is the assessment and treatment speech & language disorders. Speech disorders are defined as difficulties creating the sounds for speech. Language disorders are defined as difficulties getting the message of communication across to others. Language disorders can be Expressive (expressing yourself), receptive (understanding others) & pragmatic (social skills). Our licensed speech-language therapist will provide treatment to develop communication by addressing speech, language and pragmatic skills allowing individuals to communicate more effectively and participate in more meaningful social interactions.
