What is Spelling to Communicate?

Spelling to Communicate (S2C) is an alternative/augmentative form of communication for nonspeaking, minimally speaking, or unreliably speaking individuals. S2C works to provide the purposeful motor skills required to point to letters on a letterboard that allows individuals to overcome previous communication barriers.

Spelling to Communicate is NOT speech therapy.

How do I pay for sessions?

At this time, S2C is a private pay program. Sessions are billed at $90 per hour or $45 per 30 minutes. Program assistance may be available to qualifying families.

Who facilitates sessions?

Sessions are facilitated by our Certified Spelling to Communicate Practitioner who is certified through the International Association of Spelling as Communication (I-ASC).

Who is a good fit for S2C?

Nonspeaking, minimally speaking, or unreliably speaking individuals who have sensory-motor differences and cannot use speech as a reliable and robust means of communication.
